The modern Pyramida Hotel, a member of the Orea Hotels Group, is located in close proximity to Prague Castle and the Strahov Stadium, in the old Břevnov
area, where historical parts of Prague such as Hradčany, Pohořelec, the unique Na Kocourkách settlement but also new emerging projects.
The hotel arose from an architectural competition that was attended by leading architects of the time. (for example Mr and Mrs Machonin, authors of the Kotva department store project and the Hotel Termál in Karlovy Vary). The jury focused on “the architectural expression of the ensemble and the contrasting arrangement against the surrounding construction”.
Today, we can say that both the exterior and the interior, the architects, Mr and Mrs Cajthaml, have definitely succeeded in this task. It is also interesting to note that, although the order was to respond to the development of tourism in the 1960s, the hotel was not completed until 1987, basically at the end of the socialist era.
The hotel offers quiet accommodation in 340 rooms and suites. Guests have access to the Nebula restaurant, the Franz Kafka lobby bar, multifunctional
conference facilities and a relaxation center with swimming pool and sauna.
The hotel is easily accessible both by public transport and by car where it is possible to park in the hotel car park.
